Day 2 Vientaine - Luang Prabang
Transfer to Wattay Airport for the morning flight to Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of the Laos Kingdom, is listed by the UNESCO as a "World Heritage Site". Tour the Royal Palace and Museum, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen and the lovely Wat Vixoun, then walk up the paths of nearby Mount Phousi. The view of dozens of temple rooftops dotting this quite city nestled around the river is not to be missed.
Day 3 Luang Prabang - Pak ou - Luang Prabang
A full day boat trip on the mighty Mekong river to visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues are crammed into the two caves carved out of a towering limestone cliff. After a pinic lunch, visit a rivrside village where rice wine is produced and the village of Ban Phanom, where traditional Lao textiles are woven on acient wooden looms.
Day 4 Luang Prabang - Ha Noi
After breakfast visit the Luangprabang market before transfer to the airport for the flight out. End of serivce |
