This is our most compact program, specifically designed for travellers who have limited time, but wish to have a comprehensive overview of this beautiful country. Starting in the handicraft streets of Ha Noi, the trip heads to mystical Ha Long Bay then continues to the Imperial City of Hue and the charmingly narrow streets of Hoi An's old town. Time too, to explore the fertile Mekong Delta and the amazing tunnel at Cu Chi. Experience the bizarre Cao Dai religion in Tay Ninh and the excitement of bustling Sai Gon's boulevards.

Day 1 Arrive Hanoi .
Arrive in Ha Noi. Transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and tour briefing. In the evening, we enjoy the water puppet show, a traditional art form, dating from the 11th century.
Day 2 Ha Noi
Spending a full day in Viet Nam's capital, we take time to visit Ba Dinh square, where we have the opportunity to see Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and former residence. With its history of nearly 1000 years, Ha Noi offers us many interesting sights such as the beautiful One Pillar Pagoda, the impressive Temple of Literature (Viet Nam first University found in 1076) and the intriguing old quarter with its age old traditional crafts and wares.
Also, one of Hanoi's highlights that we should not miss while touring the city is Ethnology Museum, which presents an insight into the most colorful minority groups. Afterwards, we have a free time to discover Ha Noi at our own pace. Day 3 Ha Noi - Ha Long
Our trip cannot be considered complete without visiting Ha Long Bay, one of the world's wonders and probably the most stunning scenery in Viet Nam. Arriving in Ha Long, a welcome drink aboard the most luxurious Huong Hai Junk as it gently sails on the emerald waters. The seafood lunch served at the dinning room while cruising though the islands of the bay. One stop will allow us to visit some of the most impressive grottoes or to take a swim in a deserted beach. After dinner, we stop on a quite bay for night fishing before taking our peaceful sleep in a comfortable cabin.
Day 4 Ha Long - Hoi An
Breakfast will be served while the Huong Hai resumes its cruise. Take a rowboat through narrow tunnels that lead to the heart of the island if the condition allows. Enjoy our last meal while the Junk cruises slowly back to the pier. We then take an afternoon drive from the unforgettable Ha Long Bay directly to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Da Nang. After a short drive from Da Nang, we reach Hoi An, the old merchant town of central Viet Nam. In the evening, we walk the quiet streets and explore on our own.
Day 5 Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue
In the morning we wander through this town filled with charm, which was once a flourishing port and meeting place of eastern and western culture during Nguyen dynasty. Lining the narrow streets, we can see many old houses, combining the typical architectural styles of three nations: Vietnam, China and Japan. Upon arriving in Da Nang, we visit the fascinating Cham museum.
Travelling North over the breathtaking Hai Van pass, we descend into Hue, the ancient Imperial City of the Nguyen Kings. A part of the day is spent exploring the Citadel and Forbidden City, where the Nguyen Kings settled and ruled Viet Nam. The great value of this ancient landmark is the royal architectural complex, which has been officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Day 6 Hue - Sai Gon
From the center of Hue, we board a dragon boat and travel on the scenic Huong River to Thien Mu pagoda (built in 1601 by King Nguyen Hoang), followed by a visit to the impressive tomb of King Ming Mang. Before taking the flight to Saigon, we stop at the fascinating Dong Ba market, where we can experience the bustle of daily life in Hue City.
Day 7 Sai Gon
This city was known as the Pearl of the East in the 1960s. Now, Sai Gon is the foremost commercial center in Viet Nam, attracting the majority of foreign investors. Engulfed in the bustling atmosphere of Sai Gon, we explore the exciting district of Cho Lon - China town, with its colorful markets and typical pagodas such as Thien Hau, follow by the historical museum features a collection of artifacts and relics, representing the evolution of Vietnam's cultures and Reunification Hall built from 1963, which still houses everything left after April 30, 1975. We tour the banquet room with a large oil painting, the State Chamber and the Cabinet room that was used for daily military briefing during the war.
Day 8 Tay Ninh - Cu Chi
Leaving Sai Gon, we drive west to the home of the unusual Cao Dai religion and look inside the temple while attending the noon time service. On the way back, we stop at Cu Chi, an area that played a very important role in the war against both the French and the Americans. This famous network of underground tunnels provides us with a remarkable insight into the hardship and cruelty of any war.
Day 9 Sai Gon - Mi Tho
Today we travel further South to My Tho and experience the Mekong Delta's intricate waterways by sampan. We visit Thai Son island and taste typical fruit of the Delta. Our exploration includes a walk through the lush fruit orchards and a chance to enjoy the hospitality of the locals before returning to Sai Gon.
Day 10 Depart Sai Gon
Free time until we are transferred to the airport for departure. |
